  17. <p>     WAS IT THE FOOD OR THE COMPANY? Ever since the U.S. flew
  18. tottering Haitian President Prosper Avril into exile in March,
  19. the former leader's whereabouts have been a well-kept secret.
  20. Rumors targeted Boca Raton, Fla., New Orleans and the
  21. Washington area. Now the wife of a prominent Haitian
  22. businessman claims a close encounter. Leaving a restaurant in
  23. Miami Lakes, Fla., she suddenly screamed, "There is Avril!" Says
  24. her husband: "I went home and took a Maalox and a
  25. tranquilizer."
